About the Hungry Noodle

 

The Hungry Noodle was born from my passions of gardening, cooking and baking. Our mission is not only to create delicious baked goods and preserves, but to reconnect fork to farm.

 

I am fortunate to have been raised in agriculturally rich rural Ohio. Summers were spent tending gardens, flower beds and harvesting whatever fruit was in season. Many more days were spent standing alongside my mother, grandmother and aunt learning how to process and preserve those crops. As children we never appreciated the jobs given to us, but as an adult I now appreciate the steps taken to do the job right. The result is well worth the effort.

 

So many childhood memories involve food. Not just the making of it, but sharing and enjoying the meal with family and friends. It was a rare night that we did not gather at the table for a meal. It is a tradition my husband and I still observe.
